the Adonis spring

The adonis contains intimate glycosides and is between finger-flower and strophanthus. Has cardiotonic properties, strengthens a rhythm of intimate reductions, continues diastole, strengthens a systole. Preparations of an adonis are shown at intimate insufficiency whereas digitalis can cause in these cases the intimate block. Compared with finger-flower cumulative properties of an adonis considerably smaller.
