In fruits of a quince up to 87.5 % of water, 0.6 % of fibers, about 9 % of carbohydrates, 1.5 % cellulose, 0.9 % of organic acids, up to 1.2 % of pectinaceous substances, 0.6 % of ashes.
In 100 g an edible part of fruits 14 mg of sodium, 144 mg potassium, 23 mg of calcium, 14 mg of magnesium, 24 mg of phosphorus, 3 mg of iron, 23 mg of an ascorbic acid, 0.4 mg of carotin, 0.02 mg of vitamin Â1, 0.04 mg of vitamin Â2 and up to 700 mg of Ð-active substances contain.
Fruits are well saved at temperature 0 - 1°Ñ. Are capable to maintain long transportations.
Fresh both dried fruits and seeds use in medicine, cosmetics and the food-processing industry.

Broths of fruits and seeds recommend at diarrheas and bleedings, including uterine, at diseases of a direct gut, as diuretic means at dropsy, especially called cardiovascular diseases, and also at cough, gastroenteritis, colitis, wind, bronchites, tracheitises and outwardly at burns and irritation of a leather{skin}.
